Regarding the Lawh al-Mafoodh, it is according to them, an expression of Allah’s Knowledge which exists and there is no alteration in it. It is similar to something being written on a lawh (tablet) and does not change. According to them, it is not a Lawh in the literal sense.
[Please refer to our translation “One Hundred Eighty Issues of al-Qaasim” question #123. In one of Imam al-Hadi’s letters, he narrates a hadith from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his progeny: ((The Lawh is the Knowledge of Allah. The Kursi is also His knowledge. TheLawh is the knowledge that encompasses everything that was and that will be)).]
