Question: If I catch only one unit for the Friday congregational prayer, do I recite the second unit silently or aloud?

May Allah bless you ! And is this verdict also applicable in a region without Caliph, when salat al jumu'a is just recommended ?

According to our scholars and imams, there is a difference of opinion regarding the legitimacy of Jumuah with or without an imam. Some say that Jumuah is valid some say that it isn't. Insha-Allah, we will translate the two different opinions at a later date.
