If Eid prayer coincides with friday was created by Rehan Khan

Assalamu Alaikum warahmatullah what if the Eid falls on Friday. Are people exempted from offering the Friday prayer.

wa alaykum as salaam wa rahmatullah!

Thank you for your question! If the Eid falls on a Friday, one has the choice whether to attend the Friday prayer or not. [Ref. Ahkaam of Imam al-Haadi]. However, in the absence of an imam, the Friday prayer is not binding anyway.
