Salaam. Do we have a system similar to taqleed in 12er. If not how does the everyday layman differentiate between differences among opinion of scholars.

Wa alaykum Alsalam wa rahamat Allah,
Yes a layman must follow (taqleed) a person of knowledge. I am not familiar with the 12ers system. We will, Allah willing, translate the section on taqleed from the book of Sharh Alizhar and provide it.
