ما رأيكم في الفتوحات الإسلامية التي حصلت في عهد أبو بكر وعمر وعثمان. يروي التاريخ أن الكثير من أهل البلدان المفتوحة ظلموا.. فما وجهة نظر علماء الزيدية؟

What is our position on the Islamic Conquests during the time of Abu Bakr, Omar, and Uthman? History tells us that many of the Native's whose nations were defeated by Muslims were oppressed. What is the Zaydi view on this matter?

wa alaykum as salaam!

Thank you for your question! As for the Islamic conquests during the times of the first three caliphs, there seems to have not been any criticism of such by Imam Ali, upon him be peace. When we refer to Nahj al-Balaagha, we see that he criticised the rule of the first three but not the idea of conquest and expansion so to speak.
