Assalamu alaykum,
What acts can one do to erase all of ones sins? I understand that completing hajj is one way to do this, is this correct? If so, can you please inform of other acts that one can do.
Barakallahu feek

wa alaykum as salaam.
Thank you for your question! There are many actions that are said to efface sins. One of our scholars wrote a beneficial text called Risalat al-Ghafraan. In it, he mentioned the various things from Zaydi sources that are said to blot out sins. Among them, he mentioned the ablution (wudu), recitation of the adhan, the ritual prayer, salaat at-tasbeeh, recitation of the tahleel (La ilaha ila Allah), seeking forgiveness (istighfaar), recitation of the tasbeeh, recitation of "Laa hawla wa laa quwwata ila Billah," the prayers upon the Prophet, illness, bathing the dead, charity (sadaqa), fasting and Hajj.
And Allah knows best!

Thank for your answer.
Have the ulama given any advice on how to fast to wipe out major sins, i.e. is there a recommended amount of days? Is there a recommend amount of sadaqa that one is supposed to give? Should one repeat the wudu process or only do it once?

Thank you for your questions!
As for the fasts that are said to blot out sins, the narrations refer to the fast of Arafat and the fast of Ashura. There is no amount of sadaqa that was specified; however, the narration in the Majmu Imam Zayd (as) says that the sadaqa given in secret effaces sins. The number of times of wudu was not specified in the narrations.
