General Questions was created by Mohammad
1- How do you view Abdullah, Aminah, Abu Talib and the Prophet's (صلى الله عليه و آله و سلم) ancestors? Were they monotheistic or pagans?
2- Do you also say that Azar was not Ibrahim's (عليه السلام) real father?

As far as I know, the Prophet's ancestors are considered monotheists. Abu Talib is definitely said to be a believer.
As for Ibrahim's father's name, there is difference of opinion. For example, in Tafsir al-Burhaan of Imam Nasir (as), he states that Azar is the name of Ibrahim's father. However, the imam also states that the word 'Azar' could also be a type of imprecation that Ibrahim used against his father. On the other hand, Imam Muhammad b. Yahya al-Murtaza (as) was asked about the name of Ibrahim's father and he said that it is said that it was the name of his father. He also said that it has been said that Azar was the name of the idol that they used to worship. Although the imam does not seemingly take a position, there are narrations that support both positions.
