Asalamu Alaykum,
I just wanted to ask, Do we acknowledge Jafaris and Ismaelis as fellow Shia or not? Also, is it permissible to pray behind them and in their Mosques?
Shukran Jaziran!

wa alaykum as salaam wa rahmatullahi!
Thank you for your question! I don't know how to answer this question exactly, as Zaydis do not typically reserve the term 'Shia' to themselves exclusively. I would say that in our classical works, our imams tend to see the Imami Shia as misrepresentatives of the Ahl al-Bayt. This is not directed to those they consider imams--usually. However, because of the influence of certain aberrant beliefs and practices, Zaydis see Imamis as misled as opposed to 'not real Shia.'
And Allah knows best!

Thank you for your reply, I have another question, do we consider Twelvers and Ismailis to be kuffar? I have been speaking to Zaydis and they say they're polytheists.

Thank you for your question!
As for the attribution of kufr to the 12ers and Ismailis, this would be impermissible without definitive proof. Some of our past imams, such as Imam Rassi and al-Haadi, upon them be peace, have declared the Rafidites to be polytheists and disbelievers. However, this was based upon definitive evidence of their beliefs at that time. However, nowadays, I can say that the groups that refer to themselves as Rafidites or Shia cannot be attributed with the same beliefs as those of the past in the times of the early imams. Many of them have updated their beliefs. That withstanding, it would be improper for us to label a whole group as disbelievers unless there is definitive proof otherwise.
