Are there contemporary female scholars of the Zaydi tradition? If so, how would one contact them?

I am not aware of any modern day female scholars.

However, here is some information on Notable women within the Zaydi school:

• Queen Sharifa Fatima b. al-Hasan b. Muhammad (d. 1298 AH) was an example of how women played an active role in political affairs within the Zaydi school. In summary, she lead a political movement and successfully conquered San’a, as well as other large parts of Yemen.

• Shams al-Hur b. Ali b. Isma’il al-Mutawakkil (d. 1298 AH)—a pious woman who was well regarded for her wisdom. She was a scholar of the highest level reaching the rank of a mujtahida, a writer, and a poet. She had mastered numerous sciences within Islam, and was known to have taught jurisprudential texts to men who sought her knowledge.

• Zaynab b. Muhammad ash-Shaharia (d. 1114 AH) was another scholar, writer, and poet. She was born in Shaharah, Yemen—raised by her mother. She studied logic, Arabic grammar, and usul. Most notably, she excelled in the fields of literature and poetry, becoming recognised as the most famous female poet during the second milleneium.

The biographies of many other such women are recorded in works such as Mu'jam an-Nisa' al-Yamaniyyat by ‘Abdullah Muhammad al-Habashi (b. 1368 AH) and A’lam al-Mu’aliffin az-Zaydiyya by ‘Abd as-Salam b. Abbas al-Wajih (b. 1376 AH).

Al-Qanuniyyah fi ad-Dawlah az-Zaydiyya wa Madhahir al-Huquq wa al-Hurriyat by Jamal al-Shamy (b. 1409 AH), p. 52.

A’lam al-Mu’aliffin az-Zaydiyya by ‘Abd as-Salam b. Abbas al-Wajih (b. 1376 AH), p. 481.

A’lam al-Mu’aliffin az-Zaydiyya by ‘Abd as-Salam b. Abbas al-Wajih (b. 1376 AH), p. 451-452.
