Fatwa: The end of prayer time and reward

Question: If a man delayed the prayer until right before the end of its preferred time, is his reward diminished? Also, what is the meaning of the hadith ((Its end is pardoned by Allah))?

Fatwa:

His reward is not diminished provided it's sound. The meaning of his statement ((Its end is pardoned by Allah)) is the necessary time of the prayer.
