That is discouraged because out of humility to Allah, one prostrates upon the earth with their faces and forehead. Because prostration is only out of humility to Allah, Glorified be He, lowliness is between the slave and Allah, Majestic and Mighty be He. If one were to pray upon those things that you mentioned, the prayers are not invalidated nor does one have to repeat them.
Similar is narrated from Imam al-Haadi Yahya b. al-Hussein, the grandson of Imam Rassi, upon them be peace. He said in his Ahkaam quoting the statement of his grandfather:
It is preferable to me that the one praying place his forehead on the dust or the lowest part of the earth. It is necessary that one prostrate on that which grows from the earth, like herbage and the like. The exception is if one fears injury from extreme heat or cold. Then, one should be God conscious by what he is wary of and prostrate on what he likes.
In the same text, Imam al-Haadi, upon him be peace, said:
I do not prefer that one prostrate on anything other than that which grows from the earth. It is said that whatsoever is permissible to pray in is impermissible to prostrate on. Precaution regarding that is preferable. According to me, the best thing is that one places the forehead on the low part of the earth or any of the herbage from it, such as the papyrus plant, as well as what grows in it like old cotton (al-kursuf), linen (al-kattān) and other herbs.
Returning to your question, I think I answered it already. I said:
This means that if one believes that there is a superiority of turbah over other organic materials or that there is extra reward in prostrating on it due to it supposedly containing the blood of Imam al-Hussein, upon him be peace, then it would not be permissible. However, if one simply prostrates on it because it is organic, then one has fulfilled the recommendation.According to our imams, it is permissible to prostrate on a turbah provided that one does not believe that there is inherent virtue in such (Ref. Al-Jawaab al-Kaashif).
And Allah knows best!

brother, this statement: "According to our imams, it is permissible to prostrate on a turbah provided that one does not believe that there is inherent virtue in such (Ref. Al-Jawaab al-Kaashif)." doesnt seem to be right, why should it be permissible, why should they rule on permissibility if this is a bidaah of the twelvers?? all of the statements of the Ahl al Bayt are indicating that it is about prostrating on ground or herbage which grows from the ground, a little turbah on the forehead is neither one of them. In the ref. you gave it is not stated like that (as if it is permissible and such) it is written like this:
Question 7: About prostrating on the Husayni Turbah.
Answer: If they believe it to be a Sunnah, then this is not permissible; rather, it is an innovation (bid'ah), as there is no evidence to support it.
However, if they consider it favorable as a form of seeking blessing (tabarruk) from the turbah, then we do not see any justification for this preference. The turbah is soil, not a source of blessing. How can we seek blessings from soil in which the best of the people of the earth in his time and after his time was unjustly killed?!

Jazak Allah khayr for this, ustaadh! Just as a point of clarification, I mentioned it being permissible to prostrate on turbah since it is an organic material of earth. But that is its only virtue. In that, there is no distinction between it or any other earthly material.
And Allah knows best!
