On Tarāwīh and Imam Mu'Ayyad (Peace be upon him)

سلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته
I have heard it said that The Iconic Imam Al-Mu'Ayyad (peace be upon him) permitted the Tarawih Prayer in Mosques and said the claims that is is forbidden in Mosques are false narrations. I am attracted to the Taraweeh Prayer but I have never in my life prayed it, is it true The Imam made such a Fatwa? Can I go pray Tarawih in the Mosque or must I pray it ar home? Lastly Sunnis will pray Tarawih tonight as of Shaaban, can I pray it at home this night?
