Genetic Engineering

Salam Alaikum, What does Zaydism say about genetic engineering for beneficial uses such as preventing genetic diseases, enhancing human abilities without altering the body permanently or in a way it isnt similar to a normal human at all. and whats the ruling on combining the genes of 2 animals to create a new sub group of that species. I am considering to do genetic engineering. JazakAllah Khair
