Assalamu Alaikum,
It is well known that Twelvers recite “I testify that Ali is the vicegerent of God” in the adhan. What is the zaydi opinion of this? Do zaydi mosques do the same?

Thank you for your questions! According to Zaydi fiqh, since the wording of the adhaan was revealed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his progeny, no wording can be added to or subtracted from it (Ref. Ahkaam, Al-I'tisaam, and others). Therefore, "Aliyun wali Allah" is not permitted in the call to prayer--whether it is said to be a recommendation or not. There are no majority Zaydi mosques that include it.

One other thing I notice about Twelvers is, when somebody is becoming a Muslim in one of their mosques, or they are reciting the adhan in their babies ears, they recite the three shahadas. Do zaydis recite the three shahadas in their babies ears, or ask a revert to recite the three shahadas?

I don't know if you have understood our reply, but Zayids DO NOT acknowledge a third shahaada as 12ers do. Therefore, it is NOT recited at all--whether in the adhaan or babies' ears.
