Combining salah like twelvers was created by Musa@12

Assalamu Alaikum,

Can zaydis combine dhuhr and asr, and maghrib and isha for the sake of convenience like how the twelvers combine? Or is it forbidden?

Thanks for your question! We've addressed it here .

We also wanted to add this statement by one of our imams in the text, Al-Jāmi’ al-Kāfi:

It is more preferable to us that the resident pray the prayers in their respective times as per that which was revealed by Gabriel, upon him be peace. However, if someone decided to pray during the times that Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him and his progeny, demonstrated during travel and residency, there is no restriction in that as Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him and his progeny, facilitated.
