السلام عليكم
1. Is it permissible to swear other than Allāh?
2. Is there any atonement for swearing falsely?

و عليكم السلام و رحمة الله
According to the Matn al-Azhar, one of the foundational fiqh books of our school, swearing by something other than Allah (jalla jalaluhu) does not require atonement. As long as the oath does not involve any glorification of the object, disbelief (kufr), or open sin (fisq), it does not constitute a sin.
