How do you perform qunut?

When do I perform it and how do I perform it and do I have to do something if I don't perform it?

In which prayer is qunūt performed?
It is done in the Fajr prayer and the Witr prayer only.

Where in the prayer is qunūt performed?
It is performed after the final rukūʿ of the prayer, then one prostrates afterward to complete the prayer.

With what is qunūt performed?
It is done with Qur’ān in both Fajr and Witr.

Who performs qunūt?
The imām and the individual praying alone both perform it.

The minimum of qunūt is one verse.

Reciting it aloud.

Qunūt is not valid with Qur’ān that contains no supplication.
(You have to use quranic supplications for qunut)

What if it is neglected?
Imam al-Hadi ila al-Haqq Yahya alayhi as-salam said in Al-Ahkam:
“Qunut is a Sunnah. Whoever leaves it does not harm his religion, but we do not like for him to neglect or abandon it."

It becomes obligatory to perfom the Sajdah al-Sahw when you remember it.
Thats because any of the sunan which is left out demands the sajda al-sahw.
