Bathroom etiquette and how to treat disbelieving parents

Assalamu Alaikum, my dear brothers and sisters, may the blessings of Allah be with you all.

1. What is the proper bathroom etiquette according to the Madhab of the Ahl Al Bayt, peace and blessings be upon them?

2. How do I treat disbelieving parents, aethiest and of the People of the Book, during their lifetime and after?

 

Wa Alaikum Salam, Ameen.

1. It is recommended for the one reliving oneself to :

• Conceal oneself from the eyes of onlookers.
• Distance oneself from people and mosques.
• Seek refuge in Allah.
• Refrain from the pronouncing or wearing whatever that has Allah’s name on it, the Exalted.
• Enter the privy with the left foot first.
• Stoop while leaning upon it [the left leg] when reliving oneself.
• Exit the privy with the right foot.
• to exaggerate in covering the private parts, revealing only what is necessary. If the private parts can be seen, covering them is religiously obligatory.
• One should avoid urinating in] susceptible to wind (at-tahwiyya);
• One should avoid] standing;
• One should avoid] speech;
• One should avoid] looking at one’s genitals or traces and spitting on it;
• One should avoid] eating or drinking;
• One should avoid] using the right hand;
• One should avoid] facing the two qiblas and the two heavenly bodies (al-qamarayn) as well as turning their backs towards them;
• One should avoid] prolonged sitting.           
• Be on guard regarding places that provoke cursing (al-malā‘in), as the poet said: “The places that provoke cursing include: rivers, roads, and mosques, as well as places where fruit falls, graveyards, and sitting stoops.”
• One should avoid [urinating on] a ground with holes and a hardened surface (tašallab); 

It is recommended that after that, one praises Allah and clean oneself with three stones.

It is religiously obligatory that one do the dry purification (tayammum) if one cannot cleanse oneself with water.

2. One is to treat them with respect and care and love. You must teach them about Islam and the way of the Ahlul Bayt, peace be upon them.
    You must obey them in all that which is permissible and good. You cannot obey them over Allahs Commands and laws.

Allah says "We have commanded people to honour their parents. But if they urge you to associate with Me what you have no knowledge of, then do not obey them. To Me you will ˹all˺ return, and then I will inform you of what you used to do."  29:8

Atheists are to be informed about Islam and they do not have a special status as those of the people of the book.

The Ahlul Kitab i.e People of the book are given a special status by us Muslims. They have many Common elements and beliefs as us Muslims. They are to be treated with care and should be called to Islam. They are eligible for Dhimmi Status in Muslim lands and according to 
The famous position in the Hadawi-Zaydi Fiqh is that the marriage with the Ahl Al Kittab is forbidden and we cannot inherit from one another.
Imam Nasir Al Utrush (ع) adopts the position of Imam Al Baqir (ع) and Imam Al Sadiq (ع) in allowing the marriage like the Ammah.

You cannot marry an christian/jewish women in non muslim lands (that is established as ijmaa). The ones who allowed it meant dhimmi women, meaning women who live in muslim lands under the authority of shariah. (but even this opinion is an minority Opinion and only Imam Zayd Ibn Ali (in one opinion out of two) and Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon them, allowed it.

these 3 categories of people, cannot have Dua made for them after they pass away unless they accepted Islam.
