Fatwa : Giving the Adhan while chewing gum

Q :There is a person among us who gives the adhan (call to prayer) while having chewing gum in his mouth. What is the ruling on that?
A : If he pronounces the words of the adhan, it is valid and counts as an acceptable adhan.

سؤال:
شخص عندنا يأذن للصلاة واللبان في فمه، ما الحكم في ذلك؟
 جواب:
إذا نطق بألفاظ الأذان، فهو صحيح ويجزي الأذان.
