Fatwa : Basmala loudly in Dhuhr and Asr

Q : Is it necessary to recite the Basmala aloud in my Dhuhr and Asr prayers, given what was narrated from Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) that “whoever does not say Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim aloud in prayer, their prayer is incomplete”?

A : It is not Obligatory to recite the Basmala aloud in silent prayers.

السؤال:
هل يجب الجهر بالبسملة في صلاتي الظهر والعصر لما روي عن الإمام علي ابن أبي طالب عليه السلام من لم يجهر في صلاته ببسم الله الرحمن الرحيم فقد أخدج صلاته؟
الجواب:
لا يجب الجهر بالبسملة في الصلاة السرية.
