--answered by Sayyid Allama Muhammad bin Abdul-Azeem al-HouthiIt is obligatory to remove the impediment whether in the ritual ablution or the ritual bath. Such is the case even moreso for the ritual washing from major ritual impurity (al-janaaba). If it is possible to remove it, one does so to the extent of one’s possibility. If one cannot remove it without bleeding, it is unnecessary to remove it.
