Fifth: Patience (as-Sabr)
It is one of the most complete and respected manners of faith. It is divided into three:
- Patience in doing the deeds of obedience,
- Patience in not doing the deeds of disobedience and
- Patience in the disgraces like pains, gloominess, lack of monies, selves and fruits.
It must be only to seek Allah's countenance, exalted be He; {And those who remain patience, seeking their Lord's countenance…} (Q. 13:22).
